Product & Technical
Do your products meet OEM specifications?
Yes, our friction discs, steels, seals, and bearings are manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications for fit, performance, and durability.
Are your products compatible with OEM equipment?
Yes, our products are fully OEM-compatible and engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. Whether you’re replacing wet friction discs, steel separator plates, Duo Cone seals, or bearings, our components are designed to deliver the same fit, function, and performance as OEM parts.
What types of wet friction materials do you offer?
We supply all wet operating friction materials including Bronze, Paper, Carbon, Graphite, Elastomeric and Molybdenum based materials. These are all designed for use in power shift transmissions and wet brake systems across a range of OEM applications.
How do I choose the right friction material for my application?
Contact our technical team for application-specific guidance.
Should I replace the steel plates when changing the friction discs?
Yes, unless the OEM specifies otherwise, it is recommended to replace the steel mating plates whenever friction discs are replaced. Even if the steels appear undamaged, internal stress or wear could lead to tooth/lug fractures or surface failure. Reusing aged steels may compromise the rebuild and lead to premature failure of the brake or transmission unit.
Do I need to soak friction plates before installation?
Absolutely. Paper and graphite friction plates must be pre-soaked in the same transmission or brake fluid that the machine uses — for at least 30 minutes before installation. Installing dry plates can cause glazing, surface burning, and premature failure during operation.
What’s the wear limit for a friction disc?
Wear limits are typically defined by the OEM and must be followed. However, a general guideline is that wear should not exceed 50% of the groove depth on the friction surface. Always inspect for uniform wear and consult technical documentation when in doubt.
Can you identify a part if I don’t have an OEM reference?
Yes, we can usually help. Please send detailed measurements including inner and outer diameter, thickness, number of teeth/lugs, and any available material information. With our extensive database, we can often identify a matching part from minimal information.
Oil & Application Advice. What oil should I use with your friction materials?
Always use the OEM-specified fluid. The oil used during development plays a critical role in achieving consistent friction levels. Using the wrong fluid — especially those with friction modifiers — can significantly affect performance and cause early wear or failure.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Do you test your friction materials?
Yes, all our friction materials undergo rigorous lab testing and quality control to ensure consistent performance. We also collaborate with OEMs for field validation. Each item is manufactured with precision tolerances and tested to ensure consistent friction engagement, heat resistance, and sealing integrity, even in the most demanding environments such as mining, construction, transport, and heavy industrial applications. This ensures seamless integration during overhauls or repairs, without compromising equipment reliability or performance.
Do your materials meet ISO standards?
Our materials are manufactured under ISO 9001 quality systems. Also, our friction materials align with the component-level requirements defined by ISO 3450:2011.
What is your approach to quality control?
Quality control is integral to every stage of our process — from raw material selection to final inspection. We employ a rigorous, multi-layered quality management system to ensure that every product meets or exceeds OEM performance standards.
Our approach includes:
- Batch Testing: Each production run undergoes controlled testing to verify key characteristics such as material strength, geometry, surface conditions and bond strength.
- Material Traceability: All raw materials and components are fully traceable back to their source. This ensures transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain, and allows us to quickly isolate and resolve any issues if they arise.
- Visual & Dimensional Inspections: Products are carefully checked for surface quality, dimensional accuracy, and correct profile geometry, both during and after manufacturing.
- Documentation & Certification: Where required, we can provide inspection reports, batch records, and certificates of conformity for your records or regulatory compliance.
Our commitment to consistency, reliability, and full traceability ensures that our customers receive high-performance components they can trust in the field especially in demanding sectors like mining, construction, and heavy transport.
